THE ENTRY RULES

  1. To play all participants needed to do was construct a Vampire Lord under the new Vampire Counts Army Book rules. Point limits for magic items and bloodlines were in effect, the extra magic level was allowed, but no mounts could be chosen (This is a Vampire Battle not a Zombie Dragon Battle).
  2. Once an idea for an Undead Horror was on paper, players submitted their idea for verification.
  3. All Vampire Lords needed to be converted and painted to represent their weapon and bloodline choices.
  4. What about magic ? All spells were allowed even the spells that summon undead. Players that feared magic had to select powers and items to help them against this threat.

THE BATTLE RULES

  1. Vampires are set up 24" apart, 12" from the player's edges, and in the middle of a board at least 48" wide.
  2. If a Vampire moved, it had to be an attempt to move closer to the opposing vampire or that vampires summoned creatures. No cowardly vampires were allowed. Players could stand still, but you could not lead a chase all around the board.
  3. The rounds consisted of the best 2 out of 3 falls (when strapped for time and agreed upon it was a single battle). Winner advanced to the next round. Final round between last 2 vampires was a mandatory best 2 out of 3.
  4. With 16 Vampire Lords entered, the tournament lasted 4 rounds.

THE PRIZES

  1. Other than the fame and glory of besting their peers, Jeremy Vetock, Head of the Promotions Department dug deep into his treasure trove and found Vampire Art signed by Alex Boyd . In addition, a UK Studio Signed Vampire Counts Army Book, and various smaller prizes were up for grabs.
  2. Who got prizes ? Well you're going to have to wait to find out who specifically got prizes, but it was the Vampire Lord who won the tournament, the runner-up, the best painted vampire, and the best converted.
