Now,
this list represents the true power of the good ship Mistblade!
Not only do I have four bulwark units now (with the Ship's
Company added to the Sea Guard), I have plenty of pre-game
shooting due to Aislinn's Master of the Mists honor.
Keeping the Merwyrm mostly in reserve, I should have a chance
at shooting the enemy as he advances, then siccing the 'wyrm
and the forest of spears that are my Sea Guard and Ship's
Company on the poor sods. In the event that I am facing an
army with lots of artillery (or that scary Hellcannon), I
can still use my Great Eagles and Sea Rangers to take out
the crew!
Commodore Ellarion and the Battle Banner are one trick I
can keep up my sleeve. By having him join the Ship's Company,
I create a unit most opponents will underestimate (due to
the Ship's Company's ragged appearance) but which can hit
fairly hard in combat, thanks to the Battle Banner's +D6 Combat
Resolution! I see Gavonnon's role as being mostly defensive,
fending off spells from my opponent's Wizards while occasionally
tossing off one or two of his own.
I'm looking forward to showing what the High Elf Sea Patrol can
do! Bring on the Storm of Chaos!
