Sea Rangers on deckIn a small force, High Elves work best by trying to thin out the enemy at range. This High Elf Sea Patrol list is intended to stand back and shoot as the enemy approaches, to slow down units with the Great Eagles to deny March Moves, and all the while, to feather the foe with arrows and bolts.

Of course, no enemy will be completely stopped in his tracks by shooting without a staggering amount of luck. For the nearly-inevitable close combat, the Sea Guard will be my bulwark, fighting in three ranks with spears while the Great Eagles and Sea Rangers assist as best they can. Of course, the Commodore will have some impact as well! In games with armies this small, the High Elf Sea Patrol needs to depend on some lucky shooting in order to hope to prevail in hand-to-hand combat.
