USING A MODELING SAW If you're going to cut a model in half, then use a saw, not clippers or a knife. Clippers aren't strong enough, and you'd have to apply so much pressure with a knife that the blade could snap or slip and cut you. When you put the saw blade on the saw, make sure the teeth are curved back (i.e., when you use the saw, the teeth should curve towards you). If you insert the blade the other way around, it will break. The saw is designed to cut when you pull it back, not when you push it forward. Sawing through a model. A cutting mat will protect your work surface. |
