Turn Five

Undead Turn Five

The wolves howled together in unison at the death of the mighty Elf Commander and renewed the offensive against the Elves. The Banshee screeched and charged against Staris, intent on killing the majestic Drakemaster. The wailing Spirit Host charged into the venerable White Lions.

The scream of the Banshee could not harm the brave Dragon Prince, yet nor could the Prince hurt the Banshee in return, his sword passing through thin air. The second Dragon Prince tried to vanquish the Dire Wolf he had been fighting, but could not end its life for a second time.

The Phoenix Guard continued to combat the Dire Wolves and Bat Swarm on the steps of the watchtower, with neither side gaining the upper hand.

Elthanon now attacked the Fell Bat, finally felling the evil beast before it killed Arianar-eth. Arianar-eth’s armour saved him once again from the evil ravaging of the Dire Wolf.

The combined might of the Spirit Host and the Dire Wolf against Guardian Orthanan was too much for even this elite soldier to withstand. Knocked about and shocked to his very soul by the Spirit Host, he lay severely wounded on the ground, but alive.

Seeing his leader being taken down, the remaining White Lion fought back against the Dire Wolf opposing him with redoubled effort. The giant axe fell and the Dire Wolf perished.

High Elf Turn Five

The White Lion, eager to take the battle back to his foes for his fallen comrades, charged the remnants of the bat swarm that had been in combat with Dalthimar. Swinging his mighty axe in a devastating arc of death, several more bats fell to the ground, dead and the rest of the swarm scattered.

The two Phoenix Guard facing off against the Dire Wolf on the right flank finally bested the creature and knocked it to the ground; it’s bones broken upon the blades of the Halberds. Elthanon  of the Phoenix Guard, now stepped forward ready to dispatch another of the enemy. His years of training and martial prowess shone through as the Dire Wolf that had been trying to slay Arianar-eth was bested as it tried to feast upon its victim while he was still alive.

The Spirit Host finished off its grisly work and chilled the White Lion on the floor to the very bone, killing him.

All over the rest of the battlefield, the foes continued to clash remorselessly against each other, but the sun was rising and the Undead shrunk back into the shadows of the woods. They had failed to destroy the Elf force and the light of day would see further reinforcements – victory to the Elves!
