RIGHTEOUS STEEL - A GUIDE FOR PAINTING KNIGHTLY ARMOR title image.

Each suit of protective armour worn by the brave Knights of the Empire is a handcrafted work of art. We as hobbyists should treat them as such! Instead of straight-old Boltgun or Chainmail Armour, why not try your hand at some new armour-painting techniques? Below are but four different ways to take your armoured warriors to new heights of style. Have a look and see if anything inspires you to develop your own decorative armour.

Start by mixing Chaos Black and Boltgun Metal. Apply a heavy drybrush of this mix to the armour.

Next, highlight the raised areas and edges of the armour with straight Boltgun Metal.

Using a Fine Detail Brush, carefully paint squiggly lines or designs with Brazen Brass.

Complete the armour by going back over your Brazen Brass designs with Dwarf Bronze.
