The first place to go is your local Games Workshop Hobby Center or independent retail store. There, you can talk about your army's progression with other generals, set up games, test your mettle, and grab that extra blister pack you've been eyeing. Stores often have leagues and events that will get you involved with the hobby and introduce you to a host of other people eager to play Warhammer. This free online tool has but one purpose: to provide a list of local stores that stock Games Workshop products and get you directions to the store. There is often contact info in the store locator as well, so you can call ahead and see if an event is being held that afternoon.

In addition to going out and playing games, be sure to feed your brain everything you can about the hobby to keep up with potential opponents. Visit the Games Workshop web site at the end of a hard days work and pick up White Dwarf magazine as it comes out each month (or better yet, get a subscription). There's always something new for you to read about, like painting tips, scenarios, modeling techniques, new releases, sneak peeks, game-winning tactics, and scenery projects...to name but a few.
