Dwarf Hold Entrance

This Dwarf Hold Entrance is a perfect piece of terrain to put on the corner of your Warhammer table.

Stage 1

Use Liquid Nails to glue layers of 2" foam together. Cut out the basic shape of the door from foamcore or plasticard. Next, cut out a recess for the door from your foam wall.

Stage 2

Sculpt the cliff side by shaping the foam with a utility knife and a scouring pad.

Make the door itself from pieces of plasticard and a few bitz from the plastic Dwarf regiment sprues. Cut out iron bolts from plasticard by using two different sized hole punches.

Stage 3

Using white glue, apply sand to the top and base of the cliff.

Paint the entire cliff by hand with Chaos Black to seal the foam. Then, prime the door with Chaos Black spray paint.

Stage 4

Spray Blood Angels Red primer and Shadow Grey primer lightly in spots to give the piece some texture and to create the appearance of iron ore in the cliff face. Drybrush the cliff with Codex Grey, then Bubonic Brown, and finally Bleached Bone.

Apply a few patches of white glue on top of the cliff and on the base and then sprinkle static grass over these areas.
