MAD INVENTIONS! title image.
The eccentric Dwarf Engineer (aren't they all?) Hurtub Tyrlok began his Slayer armor innocently enough as a means to research (and then destroy) the vicious wildlife that inhabit the mountains of the Old World. After a few too many testing accidents — along with the libations that took place afterwards — Hurtub got a flash of inspiration. Instead of wasting his time trying to exterminate animals and monsters, he could build a suit of armor to wage war on the enemies of the Dwarfs.

After many years and much personal expense (and many testing accidents ), Hurtub finally perfected his Slayer Armor in its seventh incarnation. Inspired by the durability and ferocity of Dwarf Slayers, the Mark VII can fend off damage that an unprotected Dwarf would never survive. Like its namesake, the Slayer Armor's offensive capabilities are also quite impressive. With four additional arms and many additional offensive attachments, the Slayer Armor is deadly in battle. Any army with access to one of these suits is almost assured of victory.

House Rules for Using this Crazed Invention in Your Games
The easiest way to fit this invention into your army is to count any Engineer wearing it as a Slayer Hero (or Lord if you so choose). Use all the Special Rules, characteristics, weapon/magic options, and the like for the Slayer Character. This approach, of course, takes up one of your Character slots, unless you and your gaming friends decide otherwise.

Built to Last (Mostly). Any Engineer fielding this durable suit of armor counts as having a 3+ Armor Save and a 5+ Ward Save. Any successful Wound has a 50% chance (D6 roll of 4-6) of reducing the Ward Save to 6+.

Too Many Arms! Having so many arms can be very advantageous. Incoming missiles can easily be blocked or grabbed out of the air, which improves the Slayer Armor's Ward Save to 3+ against missile fire. In combat, the wielder of this most-excellent invention can choose to either fight with 2 additional Attacks or reduce the number of Attacks by 1 of each model in base contact with the Character.

Go Boom. When the Master Engineer wearing the Slayer Armor loses his last Wound, the self destruct mechanism triggers. Place the centre of the 5" circular template on the fallen hero. Everyone under the template takes 1 Wound at S6.
