INCARCERATOR: Overview

The inspiration for the Incarcerator came from this scenario and a quick look at the first few pages of Codex: Tau (not the first place you might expect). The Overview of the Tau features a picture of an Adeptus Mechanicus Explorator party taking primitive Tau specimens back to Imperial labs for testing. In the background, you can see a vehicle carting off a Tau in a large tube-like holding cell.

When we needed a "paddy wagon" for the Witch Hunters, it was easy to imagine that their vehicle would look a lot like that Mechanicus vehicle. However, it needed something more than a test tube on treads to look like it was a tool of the Inquisition.

Enter the jet turbine.

Oh no, dear hobbyists, we couldn't just settle for the old standby of burning at the stake. No, we updated it for the 41st millennium! Now your heretics can be torched in mere milliseconds, their ashes blasted into the wind with 20,000 lbs. of thrust. If the heretic, rogue psyker, or mutant acts up on the journey to judgment, all an Inquisitor needs to do is flip a switch and stand back.

Just what the Ordo Hereticus ordered.

Next: Parts.
