more than any other army to date, the new Witch Hunters
army
is the embodiment of the dark feel of the Warhammer 40,000
universe. The foreboding imagery in Codex: Witch Hunters is
astounding in its horrific detail. The background text tells
the sorry
tale of collective fanaticism run amok, which is a behaviour
that we all know too well. The new models are dramatic –
the Arco-Flagellants, for example, are enough to make you wince
on behalf of the tortured souls. All told, the Witch Hunters
make it easy to see why it is that in the grim darkness of
the far future, there is only war!
With this material as a backdrop, it's hard not to come up
with a scenario that lets you explore the paranoid world of
the Witch Hunter. We, of course, could not resist the opportunity
and have created this scenario and associated modeling project
for your Inquisitorial pleasure. This particular scenario
lets you decide the fate of a Witch Hunter detainee on his
way to being judged by the ever-merciful Ministorum. However,
this scenario is mainly here to give you inspiration for your
own scenarios and projects.
