A young and ambitious race that is united in purpose, the Tau seek
to bring enlightenment and unity to those who join them. Those who
refuse will be taught the errors of their ways.
While the races of the galaxy tear each other apart, the Tau grow
stronger and stronger. On the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy, far from
the power of Terra, world after world has fallen to the dynamic advance
of the Tau. At the forefront of this rapid expansion are the warriors
of the Fire Caste. Unfettered by Mankind's superstition toward and
fear of technology, the Fire Warriors go into battle carrying weapons
of immense power. Many of their elite warriors fight encased in battlesuits
that can withstand the fiercest of attacks while delivering highly
mobile firepower.
The Fire Caste is supported by three others: the Air Caste, which
provides air and space transit; the Earth Caste, which engineers and
builds everything the Tau need; and the Water Caste, which ensures
Tau society runs smoothly. Finally, there is the Ethereal Caste, which
has led the other four castes since uniting them thousands of years
ago. |
Led by these mysterious Ethereals and accompanied by alien allies
whose cultures have been subsumed into the Tau Empire, the Tau
believe that the very stars will be reforged in the cause of the
Greater Good.
