Find a Path and Stick to It

Pathfinders are the most efficient way in terms of points to get Markerlights on the table, so chances are you'll see more use of these previously neglected teams with the renewed Markerlight potency. Yes, you still have to take a Devilfish with them, but that can actually be a good thing as mentioned before. Though Pathfinders can still take Rail Rifles, the new Sniper Drone Team option might make this type of Pathfinder rare, as it removes a valuable Markerlight from the pool.

Another neat feature of Pathfinders is their new Marker Beacon special rule. Now you can reroll Scatter dice for Deep Striking units if a Pathfinder's obligatory Devilfish has line-of-sight to the intended landing zone. With the game-changing impact that Deep Striking can have, anything that helps you control it better is desirable, especially from a safe distance. Plus, the Pathfinders have the Scout universal special rule, which can give them perfect battlefield placement to use their Markerlights in the first few turns.
