The Zigadenus Brain Eater is one of many strange
plants in the galaxy that posses psyker qualities.
In this case, the plant exhibits temporary mind
control over its victims. How and why these
organisms came to harness warp energy is unknown,
though it is a hotly researched topic by certain
sects of the Inquisition.
The Brain Eater simply lies in wait until some
creature happens to blunder by. The plant will
attempt to dominate the individual's consciousness
and then randomly trigger the organism's physical
abilities. For Troops with guns in their hands,
the Zigadenus Brain Eater is simply bad news.
Men suddenly lose control of their bodies and
attack their friends!

Ty Finocchiaro whipped up this psyker-plant
hybrid. Since this creature is really a community
of small individuals, I decided to base it
on a large rock. This way it's a bit more
impressive than a tiny bulb on a base! All
this model really required was a trip to the
craft store and a stroll down the floral aisle.
Once he found a sprig of plastic plants, he
just sorta jammed various branches into rock
crevasses. After a quick paint job, the Zigadenus
Brain Eater was ready to take over some feeble-minded
Orks.
