While not as prevalent as its closest relative
the Grox, the Spined Rhodox is still common
in many systems throughout the galaxy, most
notably those unfortunate worlds with a dense
greenskin population. Although the Rhodox is
not readily domesticated by the foul greenskins,
an interesting relationship has formed between
the creature and the Ork Clans. It would seem
that certain tribes of Orks have adopted the
hunting of this creature as a form of initiation
for potential Clan leaders. Those Orks who survive
such a dangerous encounter and return with a
set of the Rhodox horns as a trophy are highly
revered in Ork society and are often rewarded
with the elite position of "Nob" or
even "Warboss" within the ranks of
the Clan.

Stuart Spengler created this impressive
beast by using a Lizardmen Stegadon and a
Carnosaur head as the basis. The body was
embellished by the addition of numerous spines
taken from Galrauch the Chaos Dragon’s
horn sprue. Before adding the horns, Stuart
covered the beast with green stuff and texturized
it to look like fur with a sculpting tool.
Before the green stuff set, he put a dab of
superglue on the ends of the horns and pushed
them into the green stuff. Any messy spots
were then covered with more sculpted fur.
