Enigmatic specimens that only seem to flourish in the most extreme of environments, the Pyro Spores that dot the landscape of the desolate lava world of Durga IV are a severe obstacle for planetary surveyors and native creatures alike. The large, conical fungi emit a combustible vapour that is easily ignited by the volatile lava floes that snake across the planet's surface. It's no surprise that these gasses often erupt into a gout of searing flame that is quite capable of roasting unfortunate creatures foolish enough to stumble too close to the fungi.
