Go over the uniform with watered down Graveyard Earth. Paint this coat on in a thoughtful manner and try to work with the folds of the cloth to create convincing highlights. Carefully edge the flak armour and lasgun with Catachan Green. Use a steady hand and thin line of paint on the edges of the armour and gun. Continue to add colour to the face by mixing Tanned Flesh + Dark Flesh and applying it to the model. Your guardsmen is certainly good enough for gaming now!

Mix a bit of Graveyard Earth + Kommando Khaki and further highlight the guardsman's uniform. Water down this mix to make the blending a bit easier. The boots, various belts and a few items like the knife sheath have yet to receive any paint. Rectify this by mixing a bit of Chaos Black into Codex Gray and highlighting these areas. Simply carefully edge the belts and such to give off a faint highlight. Also paint any Imperial Eagle Icons using this mix.
