Now it's time to use your fully assembled (and partially painted) Dark Eldar from the Warrior boxed set to play some Warhammer 40,000. Below is a really simple scenario that you can play with a friend to get introduced to the game and establish a feel for how to play.

The scenario in progress: cruel Dark Eldar Warriors reveling in the bloodshed!

- OVERVIEW -

The Dark Eldar are totally self-serving with no respect for any living creature, not even themselves! This scenario represents a situation where the leading Sybarite has been slain through vile treachery and now that position is up for grabs. Two shaky alliances are hastily formed and the bloodshed begins!

- SCENARIO SPECIAL RULES -

Use the Loose Formation and To the Death! special rules.

Loose Formation. Since the scenario is a small combat action, models do not need to follow the Squad Coherency rules. Each model can move wherever it wants!

To the Death! All those involved know death well and do not fear it. You may ignore any and all Morale rules during the game.

This scenario uses the contents of the Dark Eldar Warrior boxed set (16 models). Each player controls eight Dark Eldar armed however you choose.

- SET UP -

1) Place an appropriate number of ruins, buildings, and other terrain on a 2' x 2' table or area. If you don't have any painted terrain, feel free to use common items as proxies (e.g., that soda can sure looks like a storage tank to me).

2) Roll a D6. The player with the high roll chooses a table edge and places a single model anywhere along that edge. The other player then places a model along the opposite table edge. Alternate placing models until all 10 are in place.

3) Roll a D6. The player with the high roll chooses who takes the 1st turn.

- MISSION OBJECTIVE -

Annihilate the enemy! The last Dark Eldar player standing is the winner.

- RESERVES -

At the start of a player's 6th turn and each subsequent turn, roll a D6. A roll of 5+ means that a Dark Eldar armed with a Splinter Rifle has arrived as a reinforcement (drawn from casualties from combat in earlier turns). This model may immediately move into play from anywhere along that player's edge of the table.

- GAME LENGTH -

The game lasts until the Mission Objective has been met.

- LINE OF RETREAT -

There is no retreat!
