Calm down. All of them are in the same entry actually. Take
time to read the ‘Chosen' entry in the Elites section very
carefully. Read it again. Make notes on a piece of paper with
any questions that come to mind then read it again. The Chosen
supply all of your Retinue and Terminator needs. Chosen can
be split a maximum of three ways:
- Retinue for a Lord
- Retinue for a Lieutenant
- An Elites Choice
The Chosen are a very important and versatile unit. In a
2,000 points game you could field up to 20 Chosen. So, it
could look like this
- 6 Chosen for a Retinue
- 5 Chosen for a Retinue
- 9 Chosen with 3 Heavy/Assault Weapons. Or 9 Terminators
with 3 reaper autocannons (oh yeah...).
One of the neat new tactics in my Iron Warriors army was
to form a Gunnery Council with a Lord and 12 Chosen, four
Chosen with missile launchers or lascannons (or autocannons
or heavy bolters). Now even my HQ choice can act like a Heavy
Support choice.
Oh and the sweet bit: A Land Raider can be a Transport for
your Chosen. And, you can have a mix of Terminators and power
armour in the same unit. So your Lord in Terminator armour
could take along 8 power-armoured cronies to watch his back
(or stab it...).

Just read the entry. It’s all good. In playtesting,
these turned into great little support units. Not invincible
but certainly very, very annoying if used with finesse.
I just love shooting six linked plasma guns at fools
who stray too close. These are THE units for Deep Strike."Ok,
I’ll shoot 6 autocannon shots into the back of your
Predator way over there...".

The Possessed are still nasty, a bit cheaper, not as random
but far more characterful. A nice nasty combo is Khornate
Possessed with Daemonic Talons (34pts a model, S5, 3 base
Attacks, 3+, 5+(I) save). Slaanesh Possessed can do wonders
as well (Warp Scream means they get to swing before most other
normal Troops models).
