Brief Army Overview
This force is an example of what can be purchased by fulfilling
all of the force Organization chart requirements and having
a choice from each of the Elites, Fast Attack, and Heavy
Support categories. Each unit in this small force has its
own specific combat role. The Dark Apostle and his bodyguard
of 9 Chaos Marines are armed with power weapons to handle
heavily armoured enemies. In addition, they are armed with
weapons like melta bombs and a melta gun in case they are
in range of a vehicle with a particularly high armour value.
The Rhino they travel in has the Dirge Caster
upgrade to keep your nearby warriors from fleeing from combat
and in
the thick
of the fight. The Obliterators are there for flexibility
since they can adapt their armament to whatever targets you
deem
threatening to your game plan. The 10 man marine squad and
the Havocs present massed firepower to soften up foes for
your assault troops to clean up. The Raptors are your fast
moving
shock assault troops, ready to take on just about any foe
when armed with a power fist and melta gun. Avoid sending
them in
against overwhelming numbers unless you have a cunning use
of their Hit and Run special rule in mind. All in all its
a small force of specialized warriors who, when used properly
should have no problem defeating any foe.
