 The
Black Templars, as a Chapter of the Space Marines, are among the
most feared warriors in the Imperium of Man. Forged in the bitter
days after the Horus Heresy, the Black Templars continue their tradition
of Crusading to purge the galaxy of threats to Humanity and show
their unending loyalty to the Immortal Emperor. Always on the attack,
the Black Templars claim no one planet as their home and instead
operate from ever-mobile Crusade Fleets. No other Chapter is more
zealous in the persecution of the alien, the heretic, and the traitor.
Collecting, painting, and fielding a brand-new army
for Warhammer 40,000 may seem a bit daunting at first. Fear not!
On the following pages, you'll find a bunch of useful information
on how to assemble your Black Templars models and give them a basic
paint job with a minimal number of colours. There's even a fun scenario
you can play using just the contents of a plastic Black Templars
Crusader Squad boxed set. With this scenario, you can start playing
right away as you gradually amass your army.
It's time to get started, so gather your clippers,
glue, and paints. Armies don't paint themselves, you know!
